SF50 Vision Jet Type Rating
Oysterair is approved by the UK CAA to conduct the SF50 type rating with our partners Cirrus Aircraft using state of the art Level D Full Flight Simulators at their Knoxville training centre.
The SF50 Vision Jet type rating syllabi complies with the SF50 OSD and comprises four distinct segments:

Ground – 16 hours of classroom theory integrated with systems integration training.

10 hours of Synthetic Flight Training – normal, abnormal and emergency procedures plus skill test.

Flight training – Take-off and Landing training.
Training is completed in conjunction with Cirrus Aircraft using factory instructors and Full Flight Simulators at their Knoxville Experience Centre.
To enter the Vision Jet training program you require the following:

Hold a UK Part FCL PPL(A) with class two medical and audiogram.

Hold either a SE IR(A) or ME IR(A).

Have a minimum of 250 hours total flying experience with 100 hours PIC in aeroplanes and 50 hours IFR.

Completion of the High Performance Theory Course (can be completed at Oysterair) or ATPL(A) exams.

Completion of the Advanced UPRT course.
All pilots are required to complete a Flight Skills Assessment prior to the SF50 type rating. A client is exempt from the FSA providing they have held a IR for a minimum of 3 years plus at least one of the following:

3 ICAO instrument proficiency checks within 3 years and a minimum of 300 hours IF logged single pilot.

Valid SP IR.

Completion of Cirrus Jet Readiness Course.
